Happy Employees, Loyal Customers, Big Goals: The 3 Pillars of Business Success

How would you define success for your business?

How do you keep it up year after year?

Each business will have a different answer to the first question.

All businesses have the same answer to the second question: continued success comes from having

  • Happy employees
  • Loyal customers, and
  • Business goals

Pillars of success

These are the 3 pillars on which all my consulting is built.

And on which all of my content is built.

Over the last quarter, you have received my worksheets compiled by topic: delegation, change, process, and more.

You can find all the recent worksheets (in the links) grouped by pillar.

If you need to…

… Develop Happy Employees

Start by creating an environment that is open, friendly, and supportive.

Once you’ve got your work environment figured out, turn to your culture. Then you can focus on bringing out the best in each employee.

Sometimes things go wrong, so make sure constructive conversations replace criticism and arguments. And when a new challenge or opportunity arises, lead your people through the change

… Create Loyal Customers

Your starting point is the same one: create an environment in which clients want to do business, over and over again. Show clients you understand them by always speaking their language.

When you make a change, take them along for the ride and make it easy for your customers.

… Achieve Business Goals

Start with the basics here: what does your business have to do to be successful. Once you have completed that worksheet, work on what has to change right now to get you there.

Then figure out who should do what: list the strengths you have on your team, then design your own role, and finally explain what the business needs from each individual and role.
