Sharing is caring: how to present your annual plan to the whole company (4/5) 🤝

We are talking about writing goals for your business. But you don’t have to.

You could also make it up as you go along.

You could choose not to write any goals, not to build a plan for the year, and wake up each day seeing which way the wind carries you.

You could.

It wouldn’t work though.

You are writing an annual plan so that your business decisions have direction, and so that your employees know what to do.

Share the annual plan

Once you have your list of goals, ROI, and KPIs, it’s time to share it with the rest of your business.

The whole point is to give everyone the same goals and direction, then let them get to work.

Bring the company together and:

Share the goals

Explain what the objectives are and how you came to decide upon those.

Share the ROI

Explain why these were chosen and how they will transform the business.

Share the KPIs

Explain how you expect success as it develops.

Share the challenges

There always are some. Talk about them with your team.

What next

You are only partway through your meeting. This was the “Tell” part, so come back next week to read about the most important, most fun part: the “Ask” part.
